Inside the Heiwadai Decorated Store
Japanese entertainment site Anime Anime visited the COCOS Heiwadai store in Tokyo to see the collaboration firsthand. The entire restaurant has been wrapped in Haikyu!! branding, featuring newly drawn original illustrations of eight characters split across their rival schools. Karasuno High's Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, Kei Tsukishima, and Tadashi Yamaguchi share the spotlight with Aoba Johsai's Toru Oikawa, Hajime Iwaizumi, Issei Matsukawa, and Takahiro Hanamaki. The new art depicts all eight hanging out at COCOS, browsing the menu and enjoying takeout.
The decorations go beyond character posters. Fans of the series will spot banners bearing two of the show's most recognizable rally cries: "Fly" (飛べ) and "Rule the Court" (コートを制す). Scene stills from the anime line the walls, and even the drink bar features Hinagarasu (the series' little crow mascots) pop displays. Every corner of the restaurant has something to catch your eye.
What the Campaign Offers
The "Let's Meet at COCOS Today Too!" campaign (それじゃあ今日もココスに集合!) launched on May 19, 2026, at 504 COCOS locations across Japan, excluding airport stores. COCOS is one of Japan's major family restaurant chains, comparable to a Denny's or IHOP in scale.
The collaboration includes:
- Limited collaboration menu items with original clear file giveaways for qualifying orders
- Breakfast menu items bundled with exclusive Haikyu!! flake stickers
- In-store original voice content exclusive to COCOS
- Touch-panel ordering Easter eggs that display famous Haikyu!! scenes when you order specific items
- Web lottery for limited-edition goods
- Follow-and-repost campaign on the official COCOS X (Twitter) account
- Standing character panels and exclusive merchandise at select locations
The Heiwadai store in Tokyo is the only fully decorated "special" location, but two stores in Miyagi Prefecture, the real-world setting of the Haikyu!! story, also received special treatment. The COCOS Sendai Nagamachi store displays a Karasuno High panel, while the COCOS Sendai Yagiyama store features an Aoba Johsai panel. Fans who associate Miyagi with the series will appreciate the local tie-in.
Looking Ahead
The campaign runs through June 29, 2026, so there are about two weeks left for anyone in Japan to visit. Full details are available on the official campaign site.
For international fans, Haikyu!! is available to stream on both Crunchyroll and Netflix. The source manga by Haruichi Furudate was published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump and is available in English through Viz Media. The theatrical film Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle is also available for home video purchase in Japan.
