Star Detective Precure Sets Two-Day Finale Event for 2027

Star Detective Precure Sets Two-Day Finale Event for 2027

The Teaser Visual Is a Photo, and the Tagline Is a Pun

The image released with the announcement isn't a stage mockup or a logo. It's a single printed photo lying on a desk, next to the Jewel Cure Watch pendant and the PreKit (プリキット), the magnifier gear the detectives carry. In the photo, Anna, Mikuru, Kurea and Luluka stand in front of the Cureat Detective Agency and smile straight at the camera.

The tagline runs 「未来へつなぐ、私たちの証拠(おもいで)ー。」 The kanji reads “evidence,” but the furigana glosses it as “memories.” The official announcement calls the result a warm, newly drawn piece that gives shape to the time the four have spent together and to their “bond that can't be unraveled.” The Japanese verb there, tokeru, is the one used for solving a case. For a series whose catchphrase is “Sono nazo! Cureat kaiketsu!”, the pun fits.

Four Performances at Pacifico Yokohama

The event runs across two days at the National Convention Hall inside Pacifico Yokohama, the convention complex on the Minato Mirai waterfront in Yokohama. DAY1 is Saturday, February 20, 2027, and DAY2 is Sunday, February 21; the two days hold four performances in total.

Showtimes haven't been set. Tickets and the rest of the event details will be announced later on the event website and the official X account, @precure_kansha, according to Animate Times, which reprinted the official release.

The Year the Detectives Are Wrapping Up

Star Detective Precure! began airing on ABC TV, TV Asahi and their affiliates on February 1, 2026 as the 23rd entry in the Precure franchise. Anna Akechi is a 14-year-old second-year middle schooler in Makoto Mirai Town. On her birthday, a fairy called Pochitan turns up, and a pendant in her room pulls her from 2027 back to the Makoto Mirai City of 1999. There she meets Mikuru Kobayashi, also 14, who wants to be a great detective. When the phantom thief group Phantom starts stealing things that matter to people, the two transform into the Star Detective Precure and solve cases by deduction. Whether Anna ever gets back to her own time is still hanging over the show.

Hikari Senga plays Anna and Cure Answer, her first lead role in a TV anime. Kaede Hondo (Sakura Minamoto in Zombie Land Saga, Elaina in Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) voices Mikuru and Cure Mystique, Ikumi Hasegawa (Ikuyo Kita in Bocchi the Rock!) plays Kurea Howa and Cure Eclair, and Nao Tōyama plays Luluka Moria as both Cure Arcana and Cure Arcana Shadow. Emiri Katō voices Pochitan, with Yūki Kaji as Jett-senpai, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Nijee and Satoshi Hino as the villain Usonoir, among others.

Toei Animation produces, with Koji Kawasaki directing, Isao Murayama on series composition and Akane Yano on character design.

The year has given the finale plenty to look back on. Star Detective Precure! crossed over with Detective Conan in episodes that aired in May and June 2026, a swap between two detective shows on different networks. A Street Fighter 6 collaboration with an original crossover story followed in September. The film, Star Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and a Secret Pair, opened on September 18, 2026, and KAI-YOU reports it drew 357,612 admissions in three days, a franchise opening record.

Looking Ahead

International fans can already watch the series. Crunchyroll has streamed it since January 31, 2026 in North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and the CIS, so the episodes leading into the finale are available with English subtitles. Episode 35, listed on Crunchyroll as “Love Detectives,” aired September 27, and episode 36, 「試練の金メダル」 (Shiren no Kin Medal, roughly “The Gold Medal Trial”), had its synopsis and preview posted on October 3.

The Kansha-sai, whose name means “thanksgiving festival,” is a ticketed Japan-only event for now. There's no word on international ticket sales or overseas satellite screenings, and the production hasn't said whether any of the four performances will be streamed. Both details will land on the event site and @precure_kansha: showtimes first, tickets after.
