Wit Studio Is Back for the Royal Academy Arc

Wit Studio (Spy x Family, Attack on Titan seasons 1-3) will animate Part 4, and that studio credit is the only production detail the announcement confirms. No director, no series composition, no cast, no premiere window.

For reference, the season that just wrapped, Part 3: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke, was directed by Yoshiaki Iwasaki, with Mariko Kunisawa on series composition, Aiko Minowa on character design and Michiru on music. The announcement does not say whether that team carries over, so the staff for the new arc remains an open question.

Wit Studio has animated every Bookworm TV series since the franchise started airing in 2019: the first three seasons under the full I'll Do Anything to Become a Librarian title, then the 2026 Adopted Daughter of an Archduke run.

The Library Rozemyne Has Been Waiting For

The new arc adapts Part 4 of Miya Kazuki's light novels, published in Japan by TO Books, where it runs to nine volumes at ¥1,320 each. J-Novel Club releases it in English as Founder of the Royal Academy's So-Called Library Committee. The title gives away the premise.

Rozemyne enrolls at the Royal Academy, the boarding school that trains noble children from across the duchies, which puts her in dorm life alongside students from territories her own is competing against. Promotional copy for the new anime adds that there is a large library on campus, and that is where her attention lands.

The series starts far below all of that. A book lover is reincarnated as Myne, a frail girl in Ehrenfest, a duchy ruled by mana-wielding nobles in a world with no books, and she sets about manufacturing them herself. The enormous mana hidden in her body makes her the target of a conspiracy, and to protect her lower-city family she takes on a new life as Rozemyne, the archduke's adopted daughter, parting from the people she loves and giving up even her own name. The light novels have topped 14 million copies in print.

How Part 3 Set It Up

Adopted Daughter of an Archduke ran two consecutive cours from April 2026, airing Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. on Yomiuri TV and the NTV national network, with TOKYO MX carrying it Mondays at 9:25 p.m. and AT-X Tuesdays at 9 p.m. It finished on October 3.

That finale closed on Rozemyne teleporting away to the Royal Academy with the line "では、行って参ります" ("Well then, I'm off"), according to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime. The Part 4 announcement arrived the same day.

Looking Ahead

No premiere window has been given, and the announcement came without a teaser video or key visual, so the next thing to watch for is a staff and cast reveal on the official Bookworm anime site and its X account.

Crunchyroll streams the existing seasons with English subtitles and an English dub, which makes it the likely home for the new arc, although no distribution deal has been confirmed. Readers who want to get ahead of the anime can do so already: J-Novel Club has published all nine volumes of Part 4 in English, plus the manga adaptations, so the whole Royal Academy arc is already available to read.
