Lent's Voice Cast Takes Shape

Japanese entertainment news site Comic Natalie reported that the TV anime adaptation of Magic Repo Man has locked in its five main cast members alongside the show's first promotional video, featuring the cast's first performances in character.

Reiji Kawashima (Fushi in To Your Eternity) leads as Lent, the kindhearted adventurer who spent years lending his magical energy to teammates who ultimately betrayed him. Emiri Katō (Becky Blackbell in Spy x Family, Kyubey in Puella Magi Madoka Magica) plays MP, a support fairy who appears when Lent's gift evolves. She may look adorable, but she lives for magical asset management and shows zero mercy to bad debtors.

Daiki Hamano (Samurai Sword in Chainsaw Man) voices Guy, the Skypiercers' self-centered leader who boots Lent from the party. Akira Sekine plays Misa, a cunning mage who will exploit anyone for self-preservation, and Yū Kobayashi (Sasha Braus in Attack on Titan) voices Elle, a healer who gave up thinking for herself a long time ago.

Kawashima shared a lighthearted anecdote about landing the role. His agency called mentioning "revolving payments," and he briefly panicked before realizing it was a casting offer, not a debt notice. He described the show's blend of modern financial horror and fantasy as genuinely compelling, noting that understanding the revolving-payment system makes the revenge payoffs even more satisfying.

What Is Magic Repo Man?

The full title tells you everything: Magic Repo Man: Dumped by My Party, I'll Cash In With a Cute Support Fairy to Become the Strongest! The series follows Lent, a gentle kid from a backwater village blessed with a rare ability called Mana Vault. It lets him store and lend magical power to others. As a member of the B-rank adventuring party the Skypiercers, he quietly bankrolled his teammates' strength for years, only to be dismissed as dead weight and expelled.

That betrayal triggers a terrifying new skill: Forced Collection. Lent can now repossess the vast magical reserves he lent out, recovering them in revolving payments. Teaming up with the sharp-tongued fairy MP, he sets out to collect on every debt his former allies owe, growing stronger with each repayment.

The manga, illustrated by Shingō Iijima and based on Masakichi's original web novel, runs in Flex Comix's COMIC Meteor. Five collected volumes have been published as of late 2025.
