KADOKAWA's Dengeki Bunko label has announced that an anime adaptation project for the light novel series Kochira, Shūmatsu Teitai Iinkai (こちら、終末停滞委員会。) is in progress. An announcement video for the adaptation has been posted on YouTube.
Comic Natalie describes the series as the story of boys and girls who fight to stall the "End." According to KADOKAWA's product page, the premise is that the world is secretly in the middle of being destroyed by occult-like somethings of unknown identity and unknown number: a misshapen creature lurking in Ueno's Shinobazu Pond, a giant snail clinging to the Eiffel Tower, a demon king who by any measure looks like a pretty girl.
The author and the illustrator both supplied comments in a KADOKAWA release republished by Zaikei Shimbun. The author described an anime of "Kochimatsu," the series' shortened nickname, as a number one dream. The illustrator wrote that light novels, and Dengeki Bunko in particular, were what provided the title of illustrator. The same release lists "Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival Online 2026 powered by ABEMA" as streaming from 4:00 p.m. JST on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
KADOKAWA's announcement page presents the title only as an anime adaptation project in progress, and no studio, staff, cast or broadcast window accompanies it.
