The Tokyo Show Makes Its Kyushu Debut

The exhibition first ran in Tokyo from July 22 to August 11, 2026, and Kagoshima is the next confirmed stop, according to a report from Japanese anime news site Anime Anime. The Kagoshima venue is organized by newspaper publisher Minami-Nippon Shimbun, with planning credited to the exhibition's production committee and cooperation from the Weekly Young Jump editorial department at Shueisha.

The pitch is a look "behind the scenes" of the manga. Alongside illustration displays that walk through the series' key scenes and story beats, the show mixes in commentary from story writer Aka Akasaka and artist Mengo Yokoyari. Anime Anime frames it as a look at the series that is only possible now that the Weekly Young Jump serialization has wrapped.

A quick refresher: Oshi no Ko follows the mystery around idol Ai's sudden death, the revenge plot of Aqua, who is reborn as her son, and the ugly machinery of the entertainment business. The manga has passed 25 million copies in circulation worldwide, and the TV anime launched in April 2023 with a second season in July 2024. The series has also been adapted into a stage play and a live-action drama.

What's Inside the Exhibition

The new key visual is a freshly drawn Ai by Yokoyari, paired with a tagline taken from Aqua's perspective: "Even so. I'm truly glad I got to meet her." Anime Anime describes it as a line meant to speak for both Aqua and the manga's readers.

The floor is split into themed zones. Visitors enter through "Childhood," the happy stretch where Ai, Aqua, and Ruby were a family of three. "Entertainment Industry" tracks Aqua and Ruby's climb through show business, "Two Resolves" covers the run-up to the story's climax, and an "Illustration Gallery" collects Yokoyari's color artwork. A venue-exclusive giant photo spot uses a specially drawn illustration. The report quips that even MEM-cho, the series' resident viral-content expert, would take notice.

The photos in the Anime Anime report are from the Tokyo venue, so expect the Kagoshima layout to be a version of that show rather than a completely new build. The source doesn't say whether any exhibits are new to Kagoshima.

Tickets, Stickers, and the Phone Tab

Every visitor gets one random "SPECIAL VIP PASS-style sticker" from a set of six, each carrying a character's signature: Ai in her B-Komachi idol era, Aqua Hoshino, Ruby Hoshino, Kana Arima, MEM-cho, and Akane Kurokawa.

The goods-bundled ticket adds a strap-equipped phone tab that attaches to a smartphone, printed with Yokoyari's new key visual art in an iridescent finish. According to the Kagoshima venue's official page, that bundle costs ¥4,000 and is sold only through Lawson Ticket. Standard admission is ¥1,800 in advance or ¥2,000 at the door, with ¥1,300 for high school students and ¥800 for children from age three through junior high.

The show runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last entry 30 minutes before closing, on the sixth floor of the Kakuix Exchange Center, also known as the Kagoshima Prefectural Citizens' Exchange Center. It closes Mondays, though it stays open on the November 23 and January 11 holidays and closes instead on November 24 and from December 29 through January 3.

Looking Ahead

The Kagoshima run opens November 7, 2026, and wraps on January 11, 2027. No further tour stops have been announced beyond Kagoshima.

On the anime side, a fourth and final season is in the works, and the TV anime's official YouTube channel has posted a teaser visual movie for it. Anime Anime's report doesn't give a premiere date for the final season. The first three seasons are available on HIDIVE in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.

For readers outside Japan, the manga is published in English by Yen Press, so the story the exhibition retraces is fully available in English. The exhibition itself has no announced overseas dates.
