An anime adaptation of Amahara's manga 33-sai Dokushin Onna Kishi Taichō (33歳独身女騎士隊長。) was announced in a PR TIMES release dated November 6, 2026. The adaptation marks the manga's 10th serialization anniversary, and a logo, main character designs and a music video were also released, Comic Natalie reports.
Comic Natalie describes the manga as an otherworld fantasy comedy about a 33-year-old virgin knight captain, Mail. Swamped by exploitative work and with no chance to meet anyone, she grows more sexually frustrated by the day. The series follows the daily lives of Mail and her comrades, and four compiled volumes have been published. The National Diet Library record renders the title as 33 Years Old Single Female Knight-Captain. Amahara also created Interspecies Reviewers with masha, Anime News Network notes.
The music video uses many panels from the manga in its pop visuals. The release also says official X and YouTube accounts are being opened.
In a comment in the release, Amahara said the afterword for volume 4 included a joke wondering whether the manga might get an anime for its 10th anniversary. About a week after handing it in, Amahara was told an adaptation was happening and recalled thinking it had actually come true.
