A Walk Through Mikado City

The exhibition is built around five themed zones that retrace World Trigger's story from the very beginning — fitting, given that Toei Animation (One Piece, Dragon Ball) is in the middle of completely remaking the anime's first season under its REBOOT project.

The newly revealed key visual carries the theme of "moving forward," depicting the cast mid-stride in a composition meant to evoke the spirit of the reboot itself. It sets the tone for what looks like an ambitious, immersive event rather than a simple gallery show.

What's Inside the Five Zones

The exhibition opens with a Prologue zone recreating Mikado City through a diorama and video presentation, covering the timeline from the first large-scale Neighbor invasion through the founding of Border.

Zone 1 — "Encounter, the Beginning of the Story" traces Osamu and Yūma's first meeting and Chika's introduction. The highlight here is a life-size installation of Black Trigger Yūma alongside Replica.

Zone 2 — "Tamakoma Branch, Encounters and Resolve" features Yōtarō and Raijinmaru greeting visitors, plus a recreation of Usami's whiteboard — the one she used to break down Border's structure for the squad.

Zone 3 — "Border HQ, Growth Trajectory" reconstructs the Border headquarters training room, while Zone 4 — "Animation Materials Exhibition" is the one production fans will want to linger in. It displays character design sheets and other materials from the REBOOT project, which is remaking everything from Chapter 1 through the Border Enlistment Arc, the Neighbor Large-Scale Invasion Arc, and the start of the B-Rank Wars Arc as a completely new anime.

A message-writing area and merchandise corner round out the venue.

Tickets and Exclusive Goods

Tickets come in three tiers: general admission, elementary-school admission, and a goods-attached option. The goods ticket includes a special clear shoulder bag that can only be picked up at the venue.

Tokyo tickets go on sale May 30 at 10:00 AM JST through e-plus. Osaka ticket dates and full merchandise lineups will be announced later on the anime's official X account and the event's website.

Looking Ahead

The exhibition arrives during a significant moment for the franchise. The REBOOT project — which brings back director Morio Hatano, series script supervisor Hiroyuki Yoshino, and character designer Toshihisa Kaiya alongside core cast members Tomo Muranaka, Yūki Kaji, Nao Tamura, Yūichi Nakamura, and Hideyuki Tanaka — has yet to announce a broadcast date, making the Zone 4 production materials one of the closest looks fans can get at the new anime so far.

For international fans, previous seasons of World Trigger stream on Crunchyroll with English dubs, and the manga is published in English by Viz Media and available chapter-by-chapter on Manga Plus. No international streaming partner has been confirmed for the REBOOT series yet, but Crunchyroll's existing relationship with the franchise makes it the likely destination.

The Tokyo run opens August 11, 2026, with Osaka following on November 14.
