STRICT-G, Gundam's official apparel shop, released two Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ tanker jackets on October 31, 2026, one based on the A.E.U.G. and one based on Neo Zeon. Premium Bandai began taking preorders on October 30, according to an Anime! Anime! report.
The jackets are part of the STRICT-G.ARMS line. The report describes the tanker jacket as a winter jacket worn by tank units, noting there are records of it also being worn during flights. The shell uses a firm, glossy cotton called heavy weapon, which the report says changes in appearance with wear. The lining is a wool-blend polyester blanket fabric (60% polyester, 37% wool and 3% other materials) for warmth. The ribbing is acrylic and polyurethane. The jackets are made in China.
Each jacket costs ¥26,400 including tax, with shipping and fees extra. Sizes are M, L, XL and XXL.
Preorders are open at the STRICT-G Online Store on Premium Bandai from 1 p.m. JST on October 30 to 11 p.m. JST on November 8, and shipping is scheduled for November. In-store sales began October 31 at four STRICT-G stores: Tokyo Odaiba, Tokyo Solamachi, and the outbound-side stores at NEOPASA Shizuoka and the Taga service area.
Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ aired in Japan from March 1986 to January 1987.
