The Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc film is proving to be a box office phenomenon. According to Crank-in, the MAPPA-produced feature has secured the #1 spot in weekend audience rankings for five consecutive weeks, drawing 4.26 million viewers and surpassing 6.5 billion yen in box office revenue during its first 31 days since the September 19 release.

For those unfamiliar, Chainsaw Man is a massively popular manga series currently serialized on Shonen Jump+ (Shueisha), with over 31 million copies in circulation. The 2022 television anime adaptation by studio MAPPA earned worldwide acclaim for its striking animation and intense action sequences. This theatrical film continues the story directly from the TV series finale, adapting the fan-favorite "Reze Arc" where protagonist Denji encounters the mysterious girl Reze, leading him down an unpredictable path filled with MAPPA's signature high-octane battle sequences.
